This animation design aimed to explore traditional paper cutting art with vivid motion graphics. The inspiration came from Eiko Ojala who is a renowned illustrator and a graphic designer. After finishing the work, I was able to use After Effects to tell the story.
Before showing the cut paper with AE, I drew some storyboards to decompose the process of animation which showed the weather changing in a forest. The whole green color tone was similar to Eiko’s artwork. For this project, I explored displaying traditional art with new media.
